What tatoo aftercare do i need to do?

Okay I got a tattoo on monay on the back of my shoulder. It's starting to scab and feel al cracky. Now the guy who did my tattoo said to moisturize twice a day and I either use A & D ointment or Jergens. I fel like I have the wrong A & D because I have the one for diaer rash. And so isthere any other tattoo care I need to do? Please be detailed. I welcome it.
