Braces vs Style will braces cramp my style?

I have this look in mind for my 8th grade year i want to lose a few pounds, i want my hair to grow longer i want to look hot But i found out that i have to get braces on August 3rd and i am afraid its going to ruin my look do u think it will? do braces make u look ugly?
