My brother is extremely angry and i didnt mean to...?

My brother kyle came into town for court and when he sai don't tell a soul I swear he meant he was going to surprise our dad and stepmom and stuff...he visited me at school today and I made a comment on faebook on how I was happy I saw my bro today and my dad texted me asking which brother i when it dawned on me that dnt tell a soul meant dad didn't know kyle had court because kyle is an irresponsible college student...I was going to lie and say my brother from my mom who left for the army was on skype...then I realized kyles girlfriend had commented on my status and I couldnt get out of it. I fel extremely bad but I fel my dad did have a right to at least know he was in town...but kyle is so mad at me I told him to lie and say he was going t surprise visit and I ruined it but I think it could be to late....am I bad person or what?
