I know your pain. I had braces for 2 years. Your teeth with be sore for a couple days and at the most a week. The most you can do for the pain is getting soft foods like noodles or liquids. If bread hurts than you should stick to liquids for a couple days. Try swishing with warm salt water, if you have an wounds created by the next brackets/bands it will help and the warmth will relax your mouth a bit. Taking extra strength excedrin always helped me.
