What do German men think/want from American women?

I live in NYC and met a German man who is very attractive so clearly I was interested. We had a brief encounter, in which I gave him my number and have mostly been talking through text. When starting one of our first conversations, he asked if I wanted to come over, spur of the moment, to see how "spontaneous" I was. Of course I wasn't going to drop everything to go to a guy's apartment that I had just met, so I became a little skeptical. Later on, we made plans to meet up and he keeps talking about his hotel and meeting back there and what not.... He's in his mid-20s (i think) and I know he has a consulting job, so he travels between NYC and europe often... I've never dealt with German men before but my radar says he's only thinking about one thing from me.... Is sex all he wants or could there be more?
