Girls- Do nice guys really finish last, or is it boring guys that finish last?

Girls will label a guy too nice as a fault to not date him, but is it really that he is too nice? I would consider myself a nice guy, but I don't see how that is a strike against me. My theory is that it's not guys are too nice but boring. What I hear girls say about the bad boy is that they are adventurous, spontaneous, and fun. While the nice guy is shy, boring, or a mommas boy. I see myself as more of the adventurous, spontaneous guy, but a guy who shows plain respect and won't cheat on a girl. So is it really a guy being nice that turns you off, or Is it the boring guy being boring that makes him finish last?
