Question about miscarriage?

I was at the ob two days ago for my 11 week appointment. Neither the midwife nor a doctor could find the baby's heartbeat in the ultrasound and both said the baby appears to have stopped developing about 2.5 weeks ago. I opted to miscarry naturally as some part of me is still hoping that they were wrong. They explained that it usually takes 2-3 weeks after the baby stops developing for your body to miscarry and luckily I am at home on vacation for the next two weeks. Although I am glad that I don't have to be at work while waiting for this to happen, I also feel that I have too much time to wait and focus on every little twinge I have in my abdomen. I have researched the internet, read blogs et cetera looking for what I should actually be waiting for but it all says the same thing to me "cramping, bleeding..." can someone please tell me if there is any other way to know when it might happen or is it really just that spontaneous, I will just get really bad cramps and start bleeding out of nowhere? I apologize if this seems like a stupid question but it is complete agony just sitting here waiting for this to happen. Thanks in advance.
